INCORPORATION ELECTION INFORMATION
An election regarding the incorporation of Semmes, Alabama into a
municipality will be held on the 17th day of August, 2010 at:
Semmes First Baptist Church
4070 Wulff Road East
Semmes, Alabama
The polls to be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Any qualified elector who has resided within the boundaries of the
proposed municipality for three (3) months next preceding the date of the
election, or as of May 17, 2010, may vote in said election. A map of the area is available for viewing on
this website or in person at the Probate Court’s Election Center, 1st
Floor, Mobile County Government Center Annex, 251
Government Street, Mobile, AL.
This election shall be conducted under the same sanction and penalties
as are provided by the general elections laws of this State, except that a
voter may furnish his own ballot, upon which must be written “corporation” or “no
corporation”.
The last date to register to vote or transfer your voter information is
August 6, 2010. The Board of Registrars
office is also located in the Mobile County Government Center Annex and may be
contacted at 574-8586 for hours of operation.
Anyone wishing to vote as an absentee voter in this election should
contact the Absentee Manager’s Office at 574-6400 for an application and other
information. The last day to apply for
an absentee ballot is August 12, 2010.
